![]() Minister: Dearly beloved, we gather here today in the presence of family, friends and in the presence of God to celebrate the love between Amber and Rick. And so through Amber and Rick today we remind ourselves of the love in our lives. Let us bow our heads in prayer. Dear God, our Father, touch all of us with the awareness of your infinite love. Let us feel your presence in our lives this day and all our days from here on. Give Amber and Rick your special blessing on this their wedding day as you send them forth into life together. They will henceforth be one. And we, their witnesses, are reawakened this day to the power of love. Amen. Rick, you have chosen Amber to be your wife. Will you live with her, cherish her, protect her? Will you invite her into your heart in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Will you include her in all the important decisions of your life as someone who is no longer separate from you, but a part of your strength, your success, your life? Will you always be true to Amber?
Rick: I will.
Minister: Amber, you have chosen Rick to be your husband. Will you live with him, cherish him, protect him? Will you invite him into your heart in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Will you include him in all important decisions of your life as someone who is no longer separate from you, but a part of your strength, your success, your life. Will you always be true to Rick?
Amber: I will.
Minister: Will you now vow your love to each other?
Rick: Amber, I join you in marriage today. A second beginning for us. A day I've prayed for. The most important day of my life. And after today, this isn't my life, it's our life. We face it together. The joys and sorrows, the successes and failures - we'll encounter it all. Together. I'm not afraid of the challenges, Amber. I'm not afraid of being married so young. To me, it's a blessing. I get to share more of my life with you. More holidays, family events, surprises. More laughter, more tears, more children someday. All of those moments begin now, Amber, with this moment. Our moment. So take my hand and let's begin to walk through the rest of our life as a married couple, knowing that nothing will come between us. Nothing will interfere in the sacred union of Rick and Amber Forrester. And every night we'll face one another like this and whatever differences we encountered that day, we'll put them aside because nothing, no issue, no person, no disagreement is more important than what we share. And what we share is love - powerful and true. Our most treasured possession. From this day
forward, Amber, I am yours forever.
Minister: Amber, will you pledge your love to Rick?
Amber: Rick, I have known many blessings - Little Eric, my cousin Becky, all the people in this room. But especially you. I came into your world years ago as a girl who knew heartache, rejection, and pain. A girl who knew how to fight and do what she had to in order to survive. But a girl who knew nothing about trust, nothing about what it meant to care and be cared for. A girl who nothing about love. You taught me that. You and the family that surrounds us taught me everything decent and good that I know. And while I wasn't much of a student at Furnace Creek High School, I was a very good student at the Forrester school of life. I learned and I grew. And today I look around this room and I feel so honored, so fortunate. I look at Stephanie and Taylor and Brooke, all of the Forrester women. I've admired them deeply. I stand in their presence - humble and hopeful. And I commit myself to being as worthy a wife as each of them are. I commit myself to helping my husband fulfill his dreams - whatever that requires. I promise that I will be here for you, Rick, whenever you need me - however you need me. Your happiness is mine. Your joy is my joy. Your fulfillment is the purpose of my life from this day forward. I will make you proud to have me standing next to you all the days of your life. And I will love you for the rest of mine.
Minister: Into this sacred covenant, Rick and Amber come now to be joined. If any of you can show just cause why they should not be married, speak now, or forever after hold your peace. I want to speak now to the witnesses. You are not here just because of tradition. You are here for a serious purpose - to bear witness forever to this miraculous union that will take place and to add your agreement and support before God. Don't ever tamper with that agreement. From this day regardless of what comes, you are the guardians of this marriage. Would you hand the rings to Rick and Amber, please? Rick and Amber, you have pledged yourselves to each other. May your lives be an example to all of us - not only of the power of love but of the joy of facing life together. Let us celebrate this sacred event by supporting these two young people as they begin their marriage. Rick, do you take Amber as your wife, as your own flesh to love her even as Christ loves the Church, to protect and care for her the rest of your lives? If that is your intent, say "I do."
Rick: I do.
Minister: Then turn to her, take her hand, and place the ring on her finger as you speak your vows.
Rick: I, Rick, do here and now before God and these witnesses take you, Amber, to be my lawfully wedded wife. I shall comfort you in times of sorrow, guard you in times of trouble, provide for you in need and give myself entirely to you. I shall help you in all your endeavors and stand by you in pleasure and in pain. From this moment forward we shall be one. I join you in marriage, Amber, to make you my wife for the length of our days, to hold and to keep you in joy and in sorrow, in prosperity and hardship, in health and in sickness, to defend and to honor you, to love and cherish you and with you to keep God's holy word. As a symbol of this promise, I give you this ring.
Amber: I join you in marriage, Rick, to make you my husband for the length of our days. To hold and to keep you in joy and in sorrow, in prosperity and hardship, in health and in sickness to defend and to honor you, to love and cherish you and with you to keep God's holy word. As a symbol of this promise, I give you this ring.
Minister: In the eyes of our Father in heaven, these two people are one. They have made their decision, so from now until the end of this age, I charge you to do everything in your power to see that this union remains solid and strong, happy and prosperous. Woe be to any person who would tamper with the union of Rick and Amber. This is a miraculous thing and it is of God. In accordance with the laws of this state and as a representative of the Holy Spirit of God, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Ladies and Gentlemen - Mr. and Mrs. Rick Forrester.
