MOMENTS:

BACK TO

Minister: Dearly beloved, we are assembled here in the presence of God, to join this man and this woman in holy marriage, which is instituted by God, regulated by His commandments, blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ, and to be held in honor among men. Forasmuch as these two persons have come hither to be made one in this holy estate, if there be any here present who knows any just cause why they may not lawfully be joined in marriage, I require him now to make it known, or ever after hold his peace. Eric, Brooke, I charge you both, before the great God, the searcher of all hearts, that if either of you know any reason why you may not lawfully be joined together in marriage, do now confess it. For be ye all well assured that if any persons are joined together otherwise than as God's Word allow, their union is not blessed by Him. Eric - wilt thou have this woman to be thy wife, and wilt thou pledge thy troth to her, in all love and honor, in all duty and service, in all faith and tenderness, to live with her, and cherish her, according to the ordinance of God, in the holy bond of marriage?

Eric: I will.

Minister: Brooke - wilt thou have this man to be thy husband, and wilt thou pledge thy troth to him, in all love and honor, in all duty and service, in all faith and tenderness, to live with him, and cherish him, according to the ordinance of God, in the holy bond of marriage?

Brooke: I will.

Minister: Will you vow your love to one another?

Eric: I, Eric Forrester, take thee, Brooke Logan, to be my wedded wife. And I do promise and covenant, before God and these witnesses, to be thy loving and faithful husband, in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.

Brooke: I, Brooke Logan, take thee, Eric Forrester, to be my wedded husband. And I do promise and covenant, before God and these witnesses to be thy loving and faithful wife, in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.

Minister: The rings, please.

Eric: This ring I give thee in token and pledge of our constant faith and everlasting love.

Brooke: This ring I give thee in token and pledge of our constant faith and everlasting love.

Minister: By the authority committed unto me as a minister of the Church, I declare that Eric and Brooke are now husband and wife. Whom therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. You may kiss the bride.

Minister: Friends and family, we are gathered here today, in this beautiful garden to celebrate a union, a sacred bond blessed by God and witnessed by each of you. The marriage of two people and the coming together of all who love and support them. This evening, Thorne and Brooke will join their lives and their families. Her children will become his. His family will become hers. Like a garden, their marriage will grow more lovely with each passing year. With God's blessing, Brooke and Thorne's marriage will be strengthened by the triumphs and the challenges they will face. This we pray. Thorne and Brooke have invited us into this garden to celebrate their love. A love which has already weathered many storms and brought a bright new light into their lives. Today, this love blossoms, comes to fruition. You, their friends and family, will share in its beauty. As witnesses, you will help them to nurture and cultivate it, today and in the years to come. So if there's anyone who can show good cause as to why they should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Stephen: The minister has compared this union to a garden where Brooke and Thorne will always be safe. And after today, they'll be a refuge for one another. And for Rick and Bridget. But this isn't a private garden. This marriage is a reminder to us all how valuable it is to love and to be loved. This is from Corinthians 13. "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful. It is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." And that's what's brought us all together, our love for Brooke and Thorne and their enduring love for each other. May it, indeed, last forever.

Minister: This evening, Thorne and Brooke are entering into a sacred covenant. Unifying their hearts and their lives before God and those they love. May their commitment inspire us all. Let these candles be the symbol of that shared vision.

Stephen: Go ahead, Beth.

Minister: The union of two separate lives linked forever together.

Stephanie: Let me do it.

Minister: As this couple and their families. Witness now, the gathering light of a stronger, brighter, more joyous future for Brooke and Thorne and their families as two become one. Thorne. Brooke. The unity candle has been lit. Your families have pledged to support and join you in the future that you're making together. That future begins now, as you exchange a symbol of the bond and state your intentions towards each other.

Thorne: I love you, Brooke. And I always have. First as a friend, and now, as the woman that I want to be my wife. What started out as friendship has blossomed into the most significant relationship of my life. And together we have found the child in each of us. I cherish you, from this day forward, till death do us part. And I pledge my life to you, and to your children, and to our future. Together. Now and forever.

Brooke: Today, we begin a sacred journey, a walk into uncharted territory. Into a future that we've both imagined, yet never experienced. We've come together to begin a new life as man and wife. But we didn't get there on our own. Our separate lives have been guided and touched by the people that love us, our friends -- our parents -- our siblings -- our children. They have made us who we are. And they have taught us the meaning of love and unconditional love. We carry their love with ours always. Today, I pledge to walk by your side with joy and happiness, grateful and secure. And whatever lies in our path, we will face it together. Now and forever.

Minister: Now that Thorne and Brooke have given themselves to each other by solemn vows, with the joining of hands and exchange of rings, I pronounce them husband and wife.

[Brooke to herself.] Walking down that aisle, that was the happiest moment of my life. Finally, it has happened. After so many years, the Forresters and the Logans have come together. We put the past behind us, and at that moment in time, we embarked on a new future together. For ourselves, for this family. My family. Our family. All because of one man, the most amazing man I have ever met. My husband, Thorne Forrester.

MINISTER: All rise please. We are gathered here today in the presence of friends, family and in the presence of God, to celebrate something simple...and yet something so essential to life. We're here to celebrate love.
The love that we gather to celebrate today fills every corner of this room. It's an energy - a life force. I can certainly feel it. I'm sure all of you can as well. It's the love of two people who can no longer tolerate being apart. They must be one. Their hearts demand it. Their souls yearn for it. And so, they come before us to commit their lives, their entire being to each other. They ask us to witness this commitment, to take joy in it, to support it. From this day forward, they will cling to each other forsaking all others. Their love is now like the point of a light beam. Brooke's love shines like a laser on Whip, and Whip's on Brooke. This is a powerful, awesome thing - this laser of love between two people. It's a slice of truth. Nothing can change it. No matter the challenges that life brings forward, and there will be many, nothing will prevent two people sharing this kind of love from being together. A commitment like this doesn't fall in the face of difficult, even threatening, circumstances. Nothing is impossible, no mountain to high, no challenge to formidable, when a love this deep, this lasting, is present. And it is present, my friends, in this room today. And so, we bow our heads and we pray.
Dear God, our heavenly Father, bless the love that is present in the hearts and souls of the two people standing before you today. Let it not be held against them that they have sinned, for we have all sinned. Give them the opportunity to bring their sacred love to the light of the world, so that all can benefit from it. Bless their unborn child, the symbol incarnate of their love. Let this child enjoy a long life, united with his parents, award of their wisdom, basking in the presence of their joy and dedication. We ask this in your name.
And now, into the sacred covenant Brooke and Whip come forward to be joined. If any of you can show just cause why they should not be married, speak now or forever after hold your peace.

WHIP: I guess all systems are go.

MINISTER: Brooke and Whip have asked their Matron of Honor to read from the first book of Corinthians, Chapter 13.

BRIDGET: "If I have the gift of prophecy and, with full knowledge, comprehend all mysteries. If I have faith great enough to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give everything I have to feed the poor and hand over my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient; love is kind. It is not jealous...[Brooke is distracted by voices]...nor conceited nor proud; love is not ill-mannered, it does not seek its own advantage and is not irritable. Love does not keep a record of wrong, is not happy with evil, but rejoices in the truth. Love is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope and to endure. Love never fails."

MINISTER: Whip, you have chosen Brooke to be your wife. Will you live with her, cherish her, and protect her? Will you invite her into your heart in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Will you include her in all the important decisions of your life, as someone who is no longer separate from you, but a part of your strength, your success, your life?
